Longmont, Colorado, United States

EMI Test Lab LLC is a veteran and female minority-owned EMC testing and design consulting laboratory based in Longmont, Colorado, operating since 2004. The lab offers FCC, CE Mark, and FDA compliance testing, with a particular focus on pre-compliance testing, EMI design mitigation, and hands-on troubleshooting. The facility houses two calibrated GTEM chambers and two parallel test stations covering the full IEC 61000 immunity series, radiated and conducted emissions from 30 MHz to 6 GHz, and AC power conducted emissions testing. Testing capabilities cover FCC Part 15 SDoC, CE Mark self-declaration, IEC 60601-1-2 (Class II medical devices), EN 61326-1 (scientific and measuring equipment), and the full suite of IEC 61000-4 immunity tests including radiated and conducted immunity, ESD, surge, EFT/burst, and voltage dips. The lab also offers circuit board layout and schematic review, mechanical design review, and software-level EMI troubleshooting, with an in-house stock of components for on-the-spot design modifications. Remote and mail-in testing is available for clients outside Colorado.

Element Materials Technology

Longmont, Colorado, United States

Element's Longmont EMI laboratory is a full-service EMI/EMC emissions and immunity testing facility located at 1736 Vista View Drive in Longmont, Colorado, centrally positioned between Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins. Originally founded in 1994 as EMC Integrity, the lab was acquired by NTS in 2015 and subsequently became part of Element. It is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 by A2LA in both electrical (0214.43) and mechanical (0214.44) categories. The facility's standout feature is its two fully accredited 10-meter semi-anechoic chambers for emissions testing — a regional best-in-class capability for the Rocky Mountain area. The lab provides complete EMC compliance testing for commercial, medical, military, aerospace, and space applications, helping manufacturers navigate the requirements of the FCC, FAA, DoD, and NASA. Commercial EMC testing covers products ranging from battery-powered handheld devices to large electrosurgical generators, with full emissions and immunity testing performed under one roof. Medical EMC testing is a particular specialty. The Longmont lab is one of the few CB Testing Laboratories (CBTLs) for electromagnetic compatibility in the United States, enabling CB Scheme EMC testing on medical products for worldwide compliance. Their accredited scope covers the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th editions of IEC 60601-1-2. Military and aerospace EMC testing to MIL-STD-461 and RTCA DO-160 is another core strength — the lab has supported high-profile programs including the International Space Station and the C-17 Globemaster, performing testing on actuators, CCUs, launch systems, and IR/UV cameras. The lab also offers pre-scan and mitigation services, providing engineering-level emissions and immunity testing earlier in the design cycle to identify potential compliance problems before they impact time to market. A companion Element facility on Dry Creek Drive in Longmont handles environmental simulation testing including thermal cycling, acceleration, classical shock, and vibration to MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and RTCA DO-160 requirements.
