RF voltage: dBµV vs linear volts

EMI receivers speak dBµV. Oscilloscopes speak volts, millivolts, and peak-to-peak. This converter translates logarithmic RF voltage to linear units and, for sine waves, between peak, RMS, and peak-to-peak.

Use it when a scope captured a burst and you need a rough dBµV equivalent, or when a report listed 1 mV RMS and your limit table is in dBµV. It is not a substitute for a CISPR quasi-peak detector.

How do I convert dBµV to microvolts?
µV = 10^(dBµV / 20). 0 dBµV is 1 µV; 60 dBµV is 1 mV; 120 dBµV is 1 V.
Does peak-to-peak apply to emissions limits?
Usually no. CISPR and FCC conducted limits are specified with defined detectors (QP, average, RMS-average). Use peak-to-peak only for scope troubleshooting, then measure again with the right detector.
