About
CELAB is an Italian conformity assessment body and test laboratory on Via Maira at Latina, south of Rome, and its central credential is designation as EU Notified Body number 2037 for both the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and the Radio Equipment Directive - so it issues the certificates rather than only the test reports. It is accredited by ACCREDIA to ISO/IEC 17065 for product certification for CE marking, and has separately received ACCREDIA accreditation for the cybersecurity requirements of the Radio Equipment Directive, which became applicable for internet-connected radio equipment and is a scope few bodies yet hold. It is additionally authorised by Italian government authorities to test military equipment, operates an ISO 9001 quality system, holds UNI/PdR 125:2022 gender equality certification, is a European Commission-recognised training provider under the Pact for Skills, and has a strategic collaboration with Dronecertifly for unmanned aircraft system compliance. Alongside the notified body work it runs CE marking tests and environmental testing, and publishes its own compliance software. One practical point worth noting for directory users: for the notified body EMC route CELAB states that the certification process requires only documentation sent by email rather than physical delivery of the product, so it is a documentation-assessment service distinct from chamber measurement. No ISO/IEC 17025 testing accreditation number is published. Sectors served are civil aviation, defence, medical and beauty devices, import-export, automotive, railway, lighting and photometry, industrial machinery and cybersecurity.
