Suzhou Electrical Apparatus Science Research Institute Co., Ltd. (EETI), founded in 1965, is a large independent third-party research and testing institute in Wuzhong District, Suzhou, and hosts the China National Center for Quality Supervision and Test of Electrical Apparatus Products and the China National Center for Quality Supervision and Test of Smart Grid Medium & High-voltage Assemblies. Accredited by CNAS and an IECEE CB testing laboratory, EETI has grown into a comprehensive base for power generation, transmission/distribution and high/low-voltage electrical apparatus testing. Its EMC laboratory is built around a German 10-metre standard semi-anechoic chamber and electromagnetic shielding chamber, with additional EMC instrumentation from the United States, Germany and Switzerland, and serves high- and low-voltage electrical equipment, household appliances, IT equipment, automotive electric/electronic products, and industrial and medical equipment. EETI also operates what it describes as China's largest seismic test laboratory for electrical apparatus, a CNAS-approved wind-power generator/converter test station, electric power fittings and RoHS laboratories, and covers marine, nuclear-power and locomotive/mining electrical apparatus. Note: the specific EMC test-detail page (TestDetail-42) disallows automated access, so the EMC service breakdown below is assembled from EETI's other English pages and its stated national-centre scope (EMI: CE/RE; EMS: CS/RS, ESD, EFT, surge) rather than a fetched itemised standards list; the domain-specific automotive, medical and railway EMC entries reflect the governing standard families for the product categories EETI names.

It is accredited by CNAS, U.S. NVLAP (lab codes 600191-0 and 600061-0) and A2LA (certificate 4243.01, Dongguan), and recognised by CMA, IECEE, EMSD, FCC, CPSC, ISED, Energy Star, CEC, SASO, ANCE and Inmetro, partnering with CQC, UL, Intertek, CSA, TUV Rheinland, TUV SUD, SGS, Dekra and SAA Approvals. Waltek runs dedicated EMC, automotive-EMC, anechoic-chamber, acoustic, safety and IP waterproof laboratories, providing EMC, product safety, energy-performance, chemical, reliability, wireless and ingress-protection testing. Product coverage includes household appliances, lamps and drivers, IT/AV products, wireless and IoT/smart-home devices, power and transformers, batteries and mobile power, power tools, switches/sockets/controllers, automotive electronics and components, toys and consumer products. Certification support spans CE, UKCA, FCC, CB, SASO, RCM/SAA, Energy Star and CEC. Note: the EMC pages are marketing-level (lighting EMC, appliance EMC, EMF) without a full standards table, so the EMC breakdown below maps Waltek's stated capabilities to the governing CISPR/IEC 61000 standard families.

Industrial and automotive-adjacent electronics

Industrial controls and power conversion need IEC 61000 and CISPR 32. Automotive suppliers add CISPR 25. Consumer export lines still need FCC-aware plots if the brand is US-bound. A lab that has run your OEM’s current bulletin will save a requote.

Jiangsu vs. Shanghai

Book the chamber you can reach from the factory in traffic, then read the accreditation. Shanghai city listings may be closer for some Pudong teams; Suzhou is closer for the park. Ask who signs the report.

Frequently asked questions
