Element Materials Technology
Element's Portland/Hillsboro Evergreen Parkway laboratory — formerly Northwest EMC's Pacific Northwest flagship — is the most complete EMC and EMI test facility in the Pacific Northwest. Located just 15 minutes outside downtown Portland in Hillsboro, Oregon, the lab is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by A2LA (Lab Code 3310.02) and serves aerospace, defense, medical, industrial, automotive, and connected device manufacturers. The facility features three FCC-listed semi-anechoic chambers — 10-meter, 5-meter, and 3-meter — with a full complement of immunity EMC testing services. Critically, the lab is also equipped with a fully accredited MIL-STD-461 and RTCA DO-160 testing capability, giving it the ability to serve both commercial and military/aerospace clients from one location. EMC services span radiated and conducted emissions, radiated and conducted immunity, ESD, EFT, surge, and related evaluations across commercial, medical, automotive, military, and aerospace standards. Wireless and RF testing is another core offering, including RF regulatory compliance testing, RF exposure and SAR assessments, OTA antenna performance, and wireless coexistence testing. The lab supports global market access certifications including FCC, ISED, CE, and additional international approvals. The product range tested at this facility is broad: medical devices (implantable devices, surgical equipment, infusion pumps, clinical and home healthcare equipment), consumer and industrial electronics (IT equipment, smart home devices, A/V equipment, test and measurement instruments), and automotive, military, and aerospace components and subsystems. The Evergreen Parkway lab works in tandem with Element's nearby Portland/Hillsboro Elam Young Parkway facility, which handles environmental simulation testing including vibration, temperature, altitude, shock, salt fog, HALT/HASS, and ingress protection to MIL-STD-810, DO-160, and IP testing standards.
