ElectroMagnetic Investigations (EMI) is an A2LA-accredited ISO/IEC 17025 EMC compliance testing laboratory located in Hillsboro, Oregon, serving electronics manufacturers seeking FCC certification, ISED Canada approval, CE marking, and international regulatory compliance. With over 40 years of combined industry experience, EMI's engineering team holds certifications and recognitions from A2LA, IEEE, and iNARTE/RABQSA, and is accredited to perform radio certification testing for the USA (FCC) and Canada (ISED). The lab uses ETS-Lindgren TILE! EMC software for data collection and test automation, supporting accurate and repeatable results across all test programs. EMC emissions testing at EMI covers CISPR 11, CISPR 22, CISPR 32, FCC Part 15 and Part 18, IEC 61000-3-2, and IEC 61000-3-3. EMC immunity testing covers the full IEC 61000-4 series (IEC 61000-4-2, 4-3, 4-4, 4-5, 4-6, 4-8, and 4-11), CISPR 24/EN 55024, CISPR 35/EN 55035, and product family standards including EN/IEC 61326-XX (measurement and laboratory equipment), EN 55102-1/2 (audio/video professional equipment), EN 50130-4 (alarm systems), EN 60601-1-2 (medical devices), and EN/IEC 61000-6-1 through 61000-6-4 (generic standards). In-situ and on-site EMC testing is available for large equipment that cannot be transported to the laboratory. EMC consulting services include product EMC design guidance, regulatory compliance strategy, RF and EMC troubleshooting, and failure analysis to resolve non-compliance issues during the testing and certification process.
