Advanced Programs, Incorporated (API) is an NSA-endorsed, ISO 9001:2015-certified TEMPEST engineering, manufacturing, and testing organization headquartered at 7090 Columbia Gateway Drive, Suite 150 in Columbia, Maryland, with additional operations in Salem, New Hampshire. Founded in 1969 and self-described as the world's leading provider of shielded IT equipment meeting US and NATO TEMPEST standards, API serves NATO, NATO member governments, military organizations, and the intelligence community. Strategic technology partnerships include Cisco, HP, Dell, Sharp, Panasonic, NEC, and Intel. The API Cyber Assurance Services Laboratory (CASL) operates 16 test chambers and employs over 20 NSA Certified TEMPEST Professionals (CTPs), making it one of the most extensively resourced TEMPEST test facilities in the private sector. Chamber infrastructure includes seven certified shielded enclosures, one fully anechoic chamber, one dual-use TEMPEST/shielding effectiveness (SE) chamber, and one private, limited-access high-security chamber. API/CASL is approved to test to NATO SDIP 27 TEMPEST standards in addition to US standards including NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92. Commercial EMC testing services are also offered, covering FCC Part 15 pre-compliance, CE Mark testing to EN 55022, EN 55011, EN 55024, EN 300-386, and immunity testing to IEC/EN 61000-4-2 (ESD), IEC/EN 61000-4-3 (radiated immunity), IEC/EN 61000-4-4 (EFT), IEC/EN 61000-4-5 (surge), and voltage dips and transient tests. MIL-STD EMI testing and EMC engineering design services are also provided. API has been NSA-endorsed to design, build, and test TEMPEST equipment for over 20 years and produces over 20,000 cyber-assured and hardened products annually.
