Applus+ Laboratories’ Barcelona Facility Recognized by Stellantis for Full-Scope Automotive EMC Testing
Applus+ Laboratories’ Barcelona laboratory has been recognized by Stellantis for the full scope of EMC testing on automotive components, according to an announcement dated October 23, 2026. The company says the facility was “recognized once again,” indicating a renewal or extension of an earlier Stellantis approval.
The recognition covers the complete range of EMC and electrical validation work for automotive electrical and electronic systems, for both low-voltage and high-voltage technologies. The Stellantis standards named in the announcement are CS.00244, CS.00245 and CS.00246. The scope supports suppliers developing and validating components for Stellantis programs, including conventional, hybrid and electric vehicles.
Stellantis runs dedicated recognition programs for EMC laboratories. These add OEM-specific technical and quality criteria on top of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, and Applus+ says the approval confirms that the Barcelona laboratory meets Stellantis requirements. The announcement does not detail those criteria or the chamber equipment used.
Applus+ Laboratories operates automotive EMC component testing labs in the EU, UK, China and the United States. It describes its capacity as one of the world’s largest automotive EMC testing infrastructures. Its other OEM approvals or recognitions include Ford, GM, Jaguar Land Rover, Hyundai, Geely and several Chinese vehicle manufacturers. The laboratory is part of the Applus+ Group, which also offers structural, materials, NDT, fire, environmental and cybersecurity testing, plus certification and calibration.
