CTEC is a Notified Body with identification number NB 1871 by the European Commission (NANDO) for Directive 2014/30/EU Electromagnetic Compatibility, authorized by the National Agency for Metrological and Technical Surveillance of Bulgaria to carry out conformity assessment by applying Module B (EU type examination) for electrical and electronic equipment that can generate or may be affected by electromagnetic interference. CTEC is a broad-scope testing, inspection, and certification organisation based in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. Their EMC service is specifically a certification and conformity assessment service under the EMC Directive — they review technical documentation and issue EU type examination certificates rather than operating an in-house EMC test chamber. They also offer LVD safety certification, machinery certification, construction product testing, and ISO management system certification.
