Global Testing Laboratories is a fully accredited third-party testing laboratory headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee. Established in 2004, GTL provides comprehensive regulatory compliance testing across four main disciplines: EMC, product safety, environmental, and transportation testing. Their 20,000-square-foot facility includes an enclosed, climate-controlled 10-meter open-air test site and an outdoor 60-meter diameter test pad, giving them the capability to handle most sizes of industrial and commercial equipment. GTL is one of the more heavily accredited labs in the industry, holding NVLAP accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 with a scope covering EMC and telecommunications test methods across FCC, CISPR, EN, IEC, AS/NZS, CNS, ANSI, and KN standards. They are also recognized as a Conformity Assessment Body by ACMA, BSMI, and RRA, and are a VCCI support member. On the safety side, GTL is a TÜV SÜD CARAT-certified testing laboratory, which allows them to perform unwitnessed testing — eliminating delays from waiting for TÜV presence on-site. They also partner with TÜV SÜD America and UL to help clients obtain NRTL marks. Their transportation testing arm is ISTA-accredited with Commercial classification, covering a wide range of ISTA protocols as well as MIL-STD, SAE, and NMFTA Item 180 requirements. GTL positions itself as a one-stop shop for manufacturers needing EMC, environmental, safety, and transportation testing handled under one roof, with an emphasis on fast turnaround and hands-on engineering support throughout the process.
