ITAINNOVA, the Instituto Tecnologico de Aragon, is the regional technology institute of Aragon, based on the Zaragoza Technology Park, and its electrical testing division operates one of Spain's better-equipped independent EMC laboratories, accredited by ENAC to ISO/IEC 17025 under accreditation 100/LE257. The laboratory's most unusual asset is an accredited Open Test Site alongside its chambers: an outdoor measurement area that allows radiated emission measurement on complete vehicles and large machinery, including the whole-vehicle configurations required by UNECE Regulation 10, work that indoor chambers of ordinary size cannot accommodate. Indoor capability covers semi-anechoic and shielded facilities for emissions to CISPR 11, CISPR 32 and CISPR 25, the complete IEC 61000-4 immunity series, harmonics and flicker, bulk current injection and component-level automotive testing to the ISO 11452 and ISO 7637 families, plus railway EMC to the EN 50121 series and electrical safety testing. Beyond compliance measurement the institute applies its own electromagnetic modelling and materials groups to the problems behind a failure, working on shielding effectiveness and absorber characterisation, motor and power-converter emission behaviour, and electromagnetic design of electric drivetrains - so clients come as much for diagnosis and redesign as for a test report. Specialisations are automotive and electric vehicle systems, railway rolling stock and signalling equipment, industrial machinery and power electronics, and household and consumer appliances.
