About
Kvalitet a.d. is a Serbian testing, inspection and certification organisation in Nis, and its Laboratory for Electromagnetic Compatibility is accredited by ATS, the Accreditation Body of Serbia. Because ATS is a signatory to the European co-operation for Accreditation multilateral agreement and to the ILAC mutual recognition arrangement and IAF MLA, reports issued here are recognised across the European Union, which makes the laboratory a practical route to CE marking for manufacturers in Serbia and the wider Western Balkans without sending hardware to an EU member state. Testing is performed to the current Serbian standards, which are adopted identical to the international and European originals, and assessed against Directive 2014/30/EU, its predecessor 2004/108/EC and the Serbian Rulebook on electromagnetic compatibility. The test suite covers conducted and radiated disturbance measurement, harmonic current emission limits, and immunity to electrostatic discharge, radio-frequency fields, electrical fast transients and bursts, surges, power frequency magnetic fields, and voltage dips and variations - and is offered both as pre-compliance measurement during development and as final testing for CE marking, so a product can be developed and certified at one address. The laboratory also advises manufacturers on which standards and limits apply to a given piece of equipment before testing begins. Accredited product scope covers information technology equipment, industrial, scientific and medical apparatus, household appliances, general electrical appliances and electric lamps and luminaires. Specialisations are CE marking for the Serbian and regional market, domestic appliances, lighting and ISM equipment.
