Midwest EMI Associates is an independent EMI testing laboratory located in Mundelein, Illinois, serving manufacturers since 1979. The lab specializes in EMI/EMC testing, ESD testing, CE Marking support, and wireless testing, with particular expertise in medical electronics and RF design consulting. Their chief engineer is NARTE-certified. The facility is well-equipped for emissions and susceptibility testing, featuring five high-performance computer-controlled spectrum analyzers, a network analyzer, five wideband signal generators, TWT amplifiers, a tracking generator, and a variety of calibrated antennas — all calibrated to ANSI standards. The lab can also write custom software to coordinate test equipment for specific or non-standard tests. Their staff brings deep experience in hazards analysis, FMEA, shielding design, and regulatory approval processes for medical products. Beyond compliance testing, Midwest EMI offers RF design consulting services, helping optimize RF and communications circuits to minimize interference. They also perform military EMI testing to MIL-STD-461C and serve the automotive and laboratory equipment industries.
