About
telproCE, operating since 1986 at Valldoreix in Sant Cugat del Valles just outside Barcelona, is an independent Catalan laboratory built specifically around CE marking for electrical and electronic equipment. The 150 square metre facility is screened from external interference and centred on an anechoic chamber covering an exceptionally wide 9 kHz to 32 GHz, able to take equipment up to 3 metres long by 1.2 metres wide by 2 metres high at up to 75 kilograms, alongside a climate chamber running from minus 42 to plus 180 degrees Celsius across the full 0 to 100 per cent humidity range for products up to 50 centimetres cubed. Test coverage spans EMC under Directive 2014/30/EU, radio equipment under the Radio Equipment Directive, SAR measurement for human exposure to electromagnetic fields, electrical safety, and the IP ingress and IK impact protection ratings to EN 60529 and EN 62262, with conducted immunity covering fast transients, surge and RF-induced disturbance. The commercial model is the distinguishing feature: the laboratory sells a complete CE marking test programme delivered in ten working days, individual tests, investigative diagnostic sessions, and laboratory time rented in three-hour-forty-five-minute slots so a customer's own engineers can work in the chamber - an unusual and practical offer for a development team iterating hardware. Specialisations are turnkey CE marking programmes, radio and wireless products, SAR and exposure assessment, and chamber rental for customer-run development testing.
