PAM-2640

Description
The AH Systems PAM-2640 is a millimeter-wave preamplifier covering 26.5 GHz to 40 GHz, designed specifically to match the SAS-573 High Gain Horn Antenna. It is purpose-built for high-frequency testing applications where boosting low-amplitude signals in the Ka-band is required to achieve adequate system sensitivity.
Key specifications include a typical gain of 20 dB with a minimum of 16 dB, a noise figure of 4.5 dB, gain flatness of ±1.4 dB, a typical VSWR of less than 1.7:1, and an output power of +6 dBm at 1 dB compression. The unit uses 2.9mm female connectors at both ports — the appropriate interface for reliable performance at these frequencies. Each unit is individually calibrated with a gain calibration certificate included.
The PAM-2640 is powered by a 100/220 VAC regulated supply outputting 15 VDC at 180 mA. A low voltage indicator enables operation from an external 15V DC battery for portable field use. Physical dimensions are 2.5" × 3.75" × 6.25" with a weight of 1.1 lbs (0.5 kg), consistent with the compact form factor across the AH Systems preamplifier range. It carries a three-year warranty and is backed by AH Systems' next-day delivery support.
