Description
The Aaronia UBBV 2 is a high-gain broadband preamplifier covering 1 MHz to 10 GHz (with usable response down to 500 kHz at -3 dB bandwidth), designed for applications where maximising system sensitivity across a wide frequency range is the primary requirement. With a typical gain of 40 dB, it is the highest-gain model in the UBBV series and is well-suited for detecting extremely weak signals in EMC testing, RF measurements, and probe or antenna boosting applications.
Key specifications include a noise figure of 3.5 dB, a maximum RF input of +15 dBm, a maximum RF output of +15 dBm, and 50 Ω SMA connectors (female input, male output). The unit is compatible with any brand of spectrum analyzer and connects directly to Aaronia's SPECTRAN handheld analyzers. With a high compression point of nearly 100 mW, it can also be used to boost the output of small RF transmitters.
Each unit is developed, individually produced, and calibrated at the Aaronia factory in Germany. It ships with an aluminum transport case, international power supply with adapters, SMA tool, and manual. Weight is 146 g with dimensions of 81 × 61 × 29 mm.
