Description
The Com-Power PAM-103 is a high-gain, low-noise preamplifier covering 1 MHz to 1 GHz, designed to improve system sensitivity in EMI/EMC radiated emissions test setups. With 33 dB of gain (±3 dB), a noise figure below 3.3 dB, and an input sensitivity of less than -30 dBµV (31.6 nV), it pushes the system noise floor low enough to make confident compliance measurements across the full 1 MHz to 1 GHz range.
Key specifications include an output power of 18.3 dBm at 1 dB compression, an IP3 of 32 dBm, a maximum input VSWR of 1.69:1, and greater than 40 dB of reverse isolation. The maximum RF input rating is 107 dBµV (225 mV) / 0 dBm. The unit uses 50 Ω N-type female connectors and is housed in a durable aluminum enclosure. Battery and charge indicators are built in to help maintain stable, consistent gain throughout a test session.
The PAM-103 is powered by an internal battery pack with more than 13 hours of runtime per full charge, or via an external 15 VDC / 500 mA adapter — eliminating conducted noise from bench supplies in sensitive measurement environments. Operating temperature range is 0° to 40° C. Physical dimensions are 6 cm × 16.7 cm × 21 cm (2.3″ × 6.6″ × 8.3″) with a weight of 1.45 kg (3.2 lbs).
