
Description
The Langer EMV PA 2522 is a compact, low-noise preamplifier covering 10 MHz to 22 GHz, designed to amplify weak measurement signals from near-field probes during PCB-level EMC diagnostic work. With a typical gain of 25 dB, a noise figure of 3 dB at 10 GHz, and a consistently high dynamic range across a very wide frequency range, it is the highest-frequency model in the entire Langer preamplifier lineup — extending near-field measurement capability well into the K-band and making it particularly well-suited for diagnostics on high-speed digital interfaces, mmWave RF modules, and 5G sub-6 GHz and FR2 devices operating above 10 GHz.
Key specifications include a -1 dB output compression point of +15 dBm at 10 GHz, a maximum input power of +15 dBm, a supply voltage of 7–12 VDC at 190 mA, and SMA connectors at both input and output. The near-field probe connects via cable to the amplifier input, with the amplifier output connected directly to the 50 Ω input of a spectrum analyzer or oscilloscope. The unit measures 50 × 38 × 14 mm (L × W × H) and weighs 60 g — identical in form factor to the PA 3010 — making it equally unobtrusive in hands-on probe scanning setups. It is available individually or as part of the PA 2522 set, which includes compatible Langer near-field probes, a power adapter, and all necessary accessories for a complete PCB emission diagnostic workflow up to 22 GHz.
