Description
The Langer EMV PA 303 BNC is a compact, lightweight preamplifier covering 100 kHz to 3 GHz, designed specifically for amplifying weak measuring signals from near-field probes with high spatial resolution during PCB-level EMC diagnostic work. With 30 dB of gain — 10 dB more than the PA 203 series — and a noise figure of 4.5 dB, it provides significantly more sensitivity headroom when working with very weak near-field signals from traces, ICs, and power planes, lifting them above the noise floor of a connected spectrum analyzer or oscilloscope.
Key specifications include a -1 dB output compression point of +10 dBm, a maximum input power of +13 dBm, a supply voltage of 12 VDC at 75 mA, and 50 Ω BNC connectors at both input and output. The near-field probe connects via cable to the amplifier input, with the amplifier output connected directly to the 50 Ω measurement instrument input.
