PA 306 SMA

Description
The Langer EMV PA 306 SMA is a compact, lightweight preamplifier covering 100 kHz to 6 GHz, designed for amplifying weak measurement signals from near-field probes or antennas during PCB-level EMC diagnostic work. With 30 dB of gain, a noise figure of 3 dB, and high dynamic range across a wide frequency range, it extends the useful sensitivity of a connected spectrum analyzer or oscilloscope from the sub-MHz range all the way through 6 GHz — making it the widest-frequency model in the Langer PA 30x preamplifier family and a natural choice for setups that need to cover both lower-frequency digital switching noise and higher-frequency RF emissions in a single instrument.
Key specifications include a -1 dB output compression point of +10 dBm, a maximum input power of +13 dBm, and a supply voltage of 12 VDC at 100 mA. SMA connectors are used at both input and output, with the near-field probe connected via cable to the amplifier input and the amplifier output connected directly to the 50 Ω input of the measurement instrument. The unit measures 50 × 38 × 13 mm and weighs 50 g — the same compact footprint as the PA 303 BNC and SMA variants — making it equally unobtrusive in hands-on probe scanning setups. It is available individually or as part of the PA 306 SMA set, which includes compatible Langer near-field probes and accessories for a complete PCB emission diagnostic workflow.
