Description
The Laplace Instruments P2085 is a high-gain preamplifier covering 9 kHz to 100 MHz, designed specifically for recovering the insertion loss introduced by LISN transient limiters during conducted emissions measurements. With 30 dB of gain (±2 dB) and a noise floor below 5 dBµV, it restores system sensitivity after the transient limiter — ensuring that weak conducted emissions from the DUT are not masked by the attenuation introduced into the signal path between the LISN RF output and the EMI receiver input.
Key specifications include a maximum input level of -10 dBm, BNC signal connectors, and an SMB power connector. The unit is mains-powered via a supplied plug-top PSU compatible with 100/240V AC at 50/60 Hz, providing 12V DC to the amplifier — making it a straightforward bench fixture in a fixed conducted emissions test setup. Physical dimensions are 97 × 40 × 30 mm with a weight of 220 g including the PSU.
