HX2600 Series

Description
The Maury Microwave HX2600 is a broadband, ultra low phase noise preamplifier covering 10 MHz to 6 GHz, designed primarily for use as a receive-chain preamplifier in phase noise measurements of devices with low output power. By placing the HX2600 between the DUT and the phase noise analyzer, it boosts the DUT signal to a level where the analyzer can make accurate measurements — without corrupting the result with amplifier-induced phase noise of its own. With a phase noise floor of -175 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset, it is one of the lowest phase noise amplifiers available in its class.
Beyond phase noise measurement, the HX2600 is well-suited for any laboratory or manufacturing application where low additive phase noise and low jitter are critical — including frequency reference conditioning, clock signal distribution, frequency divider driving, and OEM integration into phase-sensitive instrumentation. Proprietary circuitry enables broadband ultra low phase noise performance across the full 10 MHz to 6 GHz range without the frequency-band switching or narrow-band compromises found in competing designs. Hi-Rel design and manufacturing standards are adopted throughout, and every unit is 100% final performance tested for phase noise verification before shipment.
The HX2600 can be powered from a standard benchtop power supply, an AC/DC adapter (available separately), or a 6–12 VDC battery. Battery operation is particularly well-suited for use in closed systems and ground-isolated measurement setups where eliminating conducted noise from the power supply is critical to achieving the lowest possible noise floor. Key electrical specifications include 11 dB of gain, a +15 dBm output at 1 dB compression, and SMA connectors at both input and output.
