EMC-PA-18265

Description
The EMC-PA-18265 is a high-gain, low-noise millimeter-wave preamplifier covering 18 GHz to 26.5 GHz, designed to significantly improve system signal-to-noise ratio in Ka-band radiated emissions measurements. With 45 dB of typical gain, gain flatness of ±2 dB, and a noise figure of 2.5 dB, it compensates for the steep increase in cable attenuation, free-space path loss, and antenna factor that make measurements in this frequency range particularly demanding — lifting weak DUT emissions above the system noise floor when used in combination with standard gain horn antennas.
Key specifications include a maximum output power of +10 dBm and 50 Ω impedance. It is suited for EMI compliance measurements, 5G FR2 harmonic and spurious characterization, automotive radar emissions testing at 24 GHz and above, and antenna measurements across the 18–26.5 GHz range. It pairs with the EMC-PA-618 below and the EMC-PA-26540 above for complete millimeter-wave emissions coverage from 6 GHz to 40 GHz.
