TBWA2/20dB

The Tekbox TBWA2/20dB is a compact, USB-powered wideband preamplifier covering 2 MHz to 6 GHz, designed as a versatile building block for laboratory setups and EMC pre-compliance test environments. With approximately 20 dB of gain from 10 MHz through 2 GHz — rolling off gradually to 15.4 dB at 6 GHz — a noise figure of 4.5–5 dB at 2 GHz, a 1 dB output compression point of +20 dBm, and a third order output intercept point of +35 dBm, it delivers a well-balanced combination of gain, noise performance, and linearity for boosting weak signals from near-field EMC probes and for general-purpose gain block applications.

Key specifications include a maximum input power of +10 dBm, reverse isolation of 23 dB from 100 MHz to 6 GHz, and 50 Ω SMA connectors at both input and output. The unit is powered via a Mini-USB-B connector at 4.5–5V nominal / 110 mA typical — compatible with any standard USB supply, power bank, or laptop USB port, making it straightforward to deploy in a pre-compliance bench setup without a dedicated bench supply. A gain file for Tekbox EMCview software is available for download, enabling calibrated measurements directly within the EMCview pre-compliance test environment. It is available paired with the Tekbox TBPS01 EMC near-field probe set as a complete diagnostic kit.
