USMC0125

The US Micro Labs USMC0125 is a rugged, low-noise preamplifier covering 1 MHz to 2.5 GHz, designed for EMC radiated emissions measurements in both laboratory and field environments. With a typical gain of 31.5 dB (30 dB minimum, 33 dB maximum), a typical noise figure of 2.2 dB above 50 MHz (1.5 dB minimum, 3.5 dB maximum), a P1dB of +20 dBm typical, and non-harmonic spurious of less than -70 dBc, it delivers the sensitivity and linearity needed for confident compliance measurements across the full 1 MHz to 2.5 GHz range. Input and output VSWR are both 2.5:1 maximum, and maximum input/reverse output power is +17 dBm. Both variants include ESD and transient protection on the RF input, RF output, and DC supply, as well as non-destructive reverse polarity protection.

The USMC0125 is available in two power variants. The USMC0125A is powered by an external 8–15 VDC supply at 150 mA via a waterproof circular connector with threaded lock, making it well-suited for fixed chamber and bench installations where a regulated supply is available. The USMC0125B includes an internal rechargeable battery operating at 15–18 VDC, drawing 65 mA minimum and up to 550 mA depending on battery charge state — eliminating cable routing constraints and conducted noise from external supplies in sensitive field or antenna-side measurement setups.

Both variants share identical RF performance and the same compact housing measuring 108.0 × 58.61 × 171.0 mm (W × H × D) without bracket, or 108.0 × 58.61 × 191.0 mm with bracket. The USMC0125A is rated IP65 with BNC and SMA connectors (IP60 with N connectors) across an operating temperature range of -30°C to +85°C, and weighs 0.65 kg. The USMC0125B carries the same IP rating but is rated for 0°C to +50°C operation and weighs 1.1 kg due to the internal battery.
