The Narda PMM FR4003 is a battery-powered field receiver covering 9 kHz to 30 MHz, combining a fully compliant CISPR 16-1-1 EMI receiver, rod antenna, preselector, attenuator and preamplifier into a single scattering-free unit. By processing the signal internally rather than passing it down a coaxial cable, it eliminates the scattering and accuracy penalties associated with traditional rod antenna setups. It operates in both swept and gapless FFT modes and is compliant with CISPR 12, CISPR 16, CISPR 25, MIL-STD-461G and DO-160 as a rod antenna, and fully CISPR 16-1-1 compliant as a receiver. The on-board tracking/CW generator serves self-calibration routines, EUT signal generation and environment characterization, while the internal capacitance meter verifies grounding effectiveness automatically at power-on. A fiber optic link connects to a PC (standalone) or to a PMM 9010F receiver (tandem). The 7.4 V / 7.8 Ah Li-ion battery gives approximately 8 hours of operation. PMM Emission Suite and FR4003 Utility software are included.
