Description
The R&S EPL1000 is the entry point to Rohde & Schwarz's EPL family — a compact, portable EMI test receiver covering 5 kHz to 30 MHz with a native time domain scan engine that requires no additional software key on this variant. Operating in both receiver and spectrum analyzer modes, it supports the full CISPR 16-1-1:2019 detector set across bands A and B, with quasi-peak, CISPR-average, RMS-average, positive peak, negative peak, RMS, and average detectors available simultaneously.
The instrument runs dual preselection filters and includes a switchable 20 dB preamplifier positioned ahead of the first mixer. Level uncertainty at the reference frequency of 16.667 MHz is held to less than 0.3 dB (1σ = 0.1 dB) at 20–30 °C with preselection bypassed, tightening the case for use in accredited calibration workflows. The real-time spectrogram (K55E option) is available and, with K53 already included in the base unit, the EPL1000 can process up to 29.85 MHz in parallel at 9 kHz RBW. A 10.1-inch WXGA touchscreen, built-in loudspeaker, and optional internal battery round out a platform suited to lab bench and on-site conducted emissions work.
