Description
The R&S EPL1007 is the highest-frequency member of the EPL family, covering 5 kHz to 7.125 GHz on its primary input and 5 kHz to 1 GHz on a second independent RF input — a feature unique to this variant within the EPL range. It supports CISPR bands A through E with the EPL1-B2 and EPL1-B1611 options fitted, and the full nine-filter preselector operates continuously in receiver mode across the instrument's entire span.
Above 3 GHz, the EPL1007 maintains amplitude accuracy to within 0.8 dB total measurement uncertainty (95% confidence, preselection off, 20–30 °C), and noise indication at 5–7.125 GHz remains below +21 dBµV at 1 MHz bandwidth with the preamplifier off. The K53 time domain scan option allows segments up to 20 MHz wide to be processed in parallel above 30 MHz; combined with K55E real-time spectrogram, this enables fast detection of intermittent or transient emitters across the full frequency range. The internal generator option (B9) covers the complete 5 kHz–7.125 GHz span, supporting both tracking and independent CW source modes.
