Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (CPS) is the testing, inspection, and certification division of Bureau Veritas, a global TIC organization founded in 1828 with over 78,000 employees worldwide. In North America, Bureau Veritas operates EMC and wireless testing facilities at Sunnyvale and Milpitas, California; Auburn Hills (Detroit area), Michigan; Littleton, Massachusetts; and Buffalo, New York. All US labs hold A2LA accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 and are approved by multiple automotive OEMs including Ford, General Motors, JLR, and Volkswagen.
EMC capabilities across the US network cover automotive component EMC testing (CISPR 25, ISO 11452, ISO 7637, ISO 10605, SAE J1113), radiated and conducted emissions, radiated and conducted immunity (IEC 61000-4-3, FCC Part 15B, ANSI C63.4, IEC 61000-4-2), ESD, transient immunity on supply lines, dips/drop/surge, V2X conformance for wireless security and networking, and wireless connectivity testing for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, and short-range devices. Automotive OEM specifications supported span SAE, ISO, Ford, GM, Hyundai/Kia, FCA/Stellantis, Daimler, VW/Audi/Porsche, BMW, PSA, Renault, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, and JLR. The Auburn Hills facility, which is Bureau Veritas' Automotive Center of Excellence in the US, is noted as the largest third-party automotive EMC validation facility in Michigan. The Sunnyvale facility serves as a hub for OTA (over-the-air) testing and is recognized by GCF, Wi-Fi Alliance authorized test lab status, Bluetooth Qualified Test Facility, and PTCRB. Medical device EMC and safety testing to the IEC 60601 and IEC 80601 series, including FDA ASCA program participation, NRTL recognition, and IECEE CB scheme, is available at the Sunnyvale and Littleton locations.
