Comlab Telecommunications Inc. is a private company founded in 1984 by professors and engineers from the Electrical Engineering department of Laval University, with its head office, R&D laboratories, and production facilities located in Quebec City, Canada. Comlab operates its own EMC lab primarily to ensure all of its own products operate safely and reliably in hostile RF and ESD environments, with this EMC capability also made available to outside companies on a consulting basis. Their broader business includes telecommunications training systems, and the Davicom line of remote monitoring and alarm systems for broadcast, public safety, and telecom sites. Their state-of-the-art facility features a Frankonia semi-anechoic EMI chamber designed for conducted emissions, conducted susceptibility, radiated emissions, radiated susceptibility, and pre-compliance testing. The EMI semi-anechoic chamber measures 9.68 m (L) x 6.53 m (W) x 6.00 m (H) with a 2 m diameter turntable and 2,000 kg capacity, and is comprised of anechoic cones and ferrite tiles to absorb electromagnetic radiation and prevent reflections, creating a fully isolated testing environment. The Electronics Test Centre is a division of MPB Technologies Inc., located at 302 Legget Drive, Ottawa. Test methodologies and data meet NVLAP, FCC, ISED Canada, Controlled Goods, and Industrial Security Program requirements. Element's Boucherville laboratory is an EMC/EMI and environmental testing facility located in Boucherville, Quebec, just outside Montreal. The lab is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited through A2LA (Certificate Number 0214.48) and provides customized testing solutions for product development and regulatory compliance across a wide range of industries. EMC/EMI testing is a core specialty at this location. The facility houses a 3-meter semi-anechoic chamber and a compact RF immunity chamber, both with large 94" × 80" doors to accommodate sizeable equipment. RF emissions testing covers 30 Hz to 40 GHz, and radiated susceptibility testing reaches up to 30 V/m across a frequency range of 10 kHz to 18 GHz. Beyond EMC, the Boucherville facility offers environmental simulation testing including vibration, shock, acceleration, drop testing, thermal cycling, humidity, salt spray (ASTM B117), and accelerated aging — serving aerospace, defense, and telecom clients who need products qualified to DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 requirements.

TÜV SÜD
TÜV SÜD Gormley is a NRTL/CB laboratory in the north end of Toronto, serving all of Canada for EMC and Electrical Safety. Their beginnings can be traced back to a small electrical safety lab in Markham and a sales and marketing office in Guelph, Ontario, working together to build one of the largest and most capable TIC labs in Canada. TÜV SÜD Gormley is one of the few labs in Canada to have two 3-meter chambers and other testing equipment for mechanical, environmental, power and electrical safety testing. TÜV SÜD Canada is accredited by SCC (Standards Council of Canada) as a Certification Body and Inspection Body, is an OSHA-recognized NRTL, and holds A2LA ISO 17025 accreditation for EMC testing. Cross-border commercial and industrial work
Consumer and IT products need ISED and FCC emissions that a certification body will accept on both sides of the border. Industrial and energy electronics in the west add IEC 61000. Medical and telecom clusters in Ontario and Quebec want 60601 or network-equipment immunity. A lab that already writes dual-limit reports will save a week of back-and-forth.

Start with the province you can drive to, then read SCC/ISED-related scope. Confirm whether FCC is in-house. For wireless, verify radio capability separately from EMC. If the listing is a consultancy, get the chamber name on the quote.
