About

Institut pro testovani a certifikaci, a.s. (ITC / Institute for Testing and Certification) is an independent Czech testing, certification, calibration and inspection company founded in 1993 and headquartered in the Svit industrial area of Zlin, with roughly 200 staff and representation across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Its EMC and electrical work is carried out by the Testing Laboratory for Electrical Products, ATL 1004.3, accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute (CIA) to CSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 under accreditation certificate 388/2024, with its main site at Sokolovska 573 in Uherske Hradiste and a second accredited workplace at Ocelarska 35 in Prague 9. The laboratory was established as the successor to the in-house laboratory of MESIT, the Uherske Hradiste avionics manufacturer, and continues to build on that aviation-industry background - electrical components for the aviation and automotive sectors remain a stated specialisation alongside medical devices, lighting, household appliances, power tools, industrial process control equipment, generators and transformers, electric toys and gaming machines. EMC capability spans the full commercial emissions set (conducted disturbance voltage, radiated radio disturbance, disturbance power, harmonic currents and flicker) and the full immunity set (ESD, radiated RF fields, fast transient bursts, surge, conducted RF, power-frequency magnetic field and supply voltage dips and interruptions). The same laboratory adds LVD electrical safety testing to Directive 2014/35/EU, a broad climatic suite (dust, cold, dry and damp heat, salt spray, low pressure, temperature change and shock, and combined dry-heat/low-pressure), and mechanical testing including sine and random vibration, resonance search optionally combined with climatic conditions, and impact. Tests can be run complete to a standard or partial to a client specification - including corporate automotive standards - witnessed by the client, or in some cases at the customer's own premises. ITC operates as EU Notified Body 1023 and Czech Authorised Body 224, and holds separate accreditations as a product certification body (3020 and 3048), management system certification body (3002), calibration laboratory (2222) and inspection body (4035), so EMC and safety testing can be carried through to CE marking, KEYMARK, or the voluntary 'ITC certified quality' mark without changing supplier.
