RFspin Calibration Laboratory Earns ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation for Antenna Calibration

Antenna manufacturer RF SPIN (RFspin) has had its calibration laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2018, adding internationally recognized certification to the antenna calibration services it offers alongside its antenna design and manufacturing business.

The accreditation — No. 453/2026 — was granted by the Czech Accreditation Institute (ČIA) on October 6, 2026, and covers antennas of any make across a 500 MHz to 40 GHz frequency range. Certificates issued under the scope carry the ČIA mark and are recognized in countries that are signatories to the EA Multilateral Agreement (EA MLA) and the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC MRA).

Under the accredited scope, RFspin’s laboratory — identified as Calibration Laboratory No. 2433 — measures antenna gain and antenna factor using the three-antenna method at either 1 meter (per SAE ARP 958E) or 3 meters (per ANSI C63.5), with stated measurement uncertainty from 0.7 dB. Reflection coefficient is measured with a vector network analyzer, with uncertainty from 0.21 dB.

Customers receive measured data in their preferred format and can access results around the clock through RFspin’s Mini Antenna Portal. The company also notes that shipments from within the EU require no customs formalities.

RFspin positions the new accreditation as an extension of its core antenna design work. “Antennas are not just something we calibrate, they are what we design and build,” the company said in its announcement, framing the accredited service as useful both to test laboratories and to companies that calibrate antennas in-house but want results backed by accredited data.
