About
Intertek's Duluth laboratory is a major multi-discipline EMC, product safety, and wireless testing facility located at 1950 Evergreen Blvd in Duluth, Georgia, in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. The lab holds A2LA accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (Certificate 1455.01, valid through March 2028) and is recognized for FCC testing under the equipment authorization program. The facility's EMC emissions capabilities are exceptionally broad, covering radiated and conducted emissions to FCC Part 15B and Part 18, ICES-001/003, CISPR 11, CISPR 14-1, CISPR 32, EN 55032, EN 55014-1, VCCI-CISPR 32, and numerous regional equivalents including Korean (KS C 9811/9832), South African (SANS), Israeli (SI 961), Hong Kong (HKTA), Taiwanese (CNS), and Australian/New Zealand standards. Current harmonics and voltage flicker testing to the IEC 61000-3-2 and 61000-3-3 series is also accredited. The immunity testing scope covers the full IEC 61000-4 suite — ESD (4-2), radiated RF immunity (4-3), EFT/burst (4-4), surge (4-5), conducted immunity (4-6), power frequency magnetic field (4-8), voltage dips and interruptions (4-11), and close-proximity radiated fields (4-39). Product-specific and generic EMC standards accreditation spans medical devices (IEC 60601-1-2 Editions 2 through 4+Am1), laboratory equipment (IEC 61326 series), ITE/telecom (CISPR 24, EN 55024), multimedia (CISPR 35, EN 55035), household appliances (CISPR 14-1/14-2, EN 55014), lighting (CISPR 15, EN 55015), alarm systems (EN 50130-4), vehicles (CISPR 12), home building automation (IEC 63044-5), professional A/V (EN 55103), and generic light and heavy industrial standards (IEC 61000-6-1 through 6-4) — along with their Korean, South African, and other regional equivalents. Wireless and RF testing capabilities extend to 40 GHz (excluding SAR), supporting FCC Parts 15C/E/F and licensed radio services under Parts 22, 24, 25, 27, 90, 95, 97, and 101, as well as a comprehensive list of ETSI EN standards for European radio approvals, ISED Canada RSS standards, Korean KS X standards, and Asia-Pacific standards for Hong Kong (HKCA), Thailand (NBTC/NTCB), Singapore (IMDA), and Japan (ARIB). Product safety accreditation at Duluth is equally extensive, covering ITE/telecom (IEC/UL/CSA 62368-1, IEC 60950 series), medical devices (IEC 60601-1 and over 30 particular standards in the 60601-2 and 80601-2 series), laboratory equipment (IEC 61010-1 and nine -2 particular standards), audio/video (IEC 60065), and household appliances (IEC 60335-1 and numerous -2 particular standards). This makes Duluth a true one-stop facility for combined EMC and safety certification under a single roof.
