About

A Labs GmbH is an engineering, product development and testing agency headquartered at Fruchtallee 17 in Hamburg, with more than 20 years of experience, over 70 products developed and more than a million end users worldwide. Its EMC capability sits inside an in-house prototyping and test laboratory rather than being sold as a standalone accredited service: the laboratory is deliberately integrated into the development workflow so that EMC, safety and cybersecurity are verified continuously rather than surfacing as late-stage surprises just before launch. EMC and ESD work covers emission and immunity testing to EN 301 489-1, EN 55032 (CISPR 32), EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-4-2, EN 61000-4-6, EN 61000-6-3, EN 61000-6-4 and EN 62920, with spectrum analysis, pre-compliance testing, preparation for formal accredited tests, EMC debugging and support through the whole certification process. A distinctive second strand is grid and energy testing of power generating plants and batteries connected to the public low-voltage network to VDE-AR-N 4105, DIN VDE V 0126-95 and EN 62920, covering inverter and battery testing, network and system protection (NS Protection), grid connection and disconnection behaviour, system efficiency and power quality and harmonics - capability aimed squarely at the German grid-connection approval regime and uncommon in a general EMC directory. Medical device work is software-and-verification oriented to EN 60601-1 and IEC 62304 rather than chamber-based, covering V&V of medical device software, risk assessment, test plan development, automated regression and integration testing and test report documentation. The team also builds fully customised functional test environments including hardware-in-the-loop rigs integrated into CI/CD pipelines, and offers cybersecurity testing and consulting against the Radio Equipment Directive cybersecurity provisions (EN 18031-1/-2/-3) and the Cyber Resilience Act (EU 2024/2847). Devices can be brought to the Hamburg lab or shipped in for a remote-debugging session. Sectors served include energy, healthcare and medical technology, agriculture, industrial and manufacturing applications, IoT and cloud platforms and consumer electronics.
