CATECHOM - the Centro de Alta Tecnologia y Homologacion of the Universidad de Alcala - works from the Edificio Politecnico on the university campus at Alcala de Henares, east of Madrid, and is a university technology and type-approval centre offering EMC testing commercially. Its published test list is specified to the Spanish UNE-EN adoptions of the European standards rather than to the generic families, which is useful precision: conducted disturbances at mains ports to UNE-EN 55011, 55014, 55022 and 55032, conducted disturbances at telecommunications ports to UNE-EN 55022 and 55032, radiated disturbances across the same set, harmonic emissions to UNE-EN 61000-3-2, voltage fluctuations to 61000-3-3, and both disturbance power and click measurement to UNE-EN 55014-1. The immunity suite runs the full UNE-EN 61000-4 sequence including parts 8 and 9 for power-frequency and pulsed magnetic fields. Sector coverage extends to railway under the EN 50121 series, automotive under EN 55012 and Directive 2004/104/EC, lift and escalator equipment, laboratory equipment under EN 61326, and automatic controls under EN 60730-1. A semi-anechoic chamber is shown on the site. Beyond EMC the centre offers CE marking support, antenna measurement, climatic and thermal testing in high vacuum - a capability that points at space and research hardware - electrical safety testing, radio testing, electrical calibration, and training courses in CE marking and railway interoperability. The combination of EMC with high-vacuum thermal testing and antenna measurement in one university centre is unusual.
