About

EMC-Testcenter AG traces its origins directly to Oerlikon Contraves AG (today Rheinmetall Air Defence AG and RUAG Space AG), the Swiss aerospace and defence giant that was a leader in EMC testing for aerospace and military systems. The company operates today as an independent joint-stock company at Moosäckerstrasse 77, 8105 Regensdorf (Zürich), accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 under Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) number STS 0034, and listed as an IECEE CB Laboratory since April 2018. In January 2025 the lab achieved NCB (National Certification Body) status, meaning CB certificates can now be issued directly from Regensdorf. EMC-Testcenter AG operates two anechoic chambers: a smaller 8.5 × 5 × 5.5 m chamber and a large-format 20 × 12 × 8 m chamber with 4 × 4 m access doors and 10 t/m² floor load-bearing capacity, capable of accommodating complete military and aerospace systems. The automated test sites cover emission from 16 Hz to 44 GHz and susceptibility from 16 Hz to 40 GHz, with E-field capability to 500 V/m and H-field to 1 kA/m. Standards include the full civil sector (IEC/EN, CISPR, ETSI, FCC), military (MIL-STD-461, VG 95373), civil aviation (DO-160), and personnel EMF safety (EN 50385/50383). A calibration laboratory holds separate SCS accreditation (since September 2023). The lab is Switzerland's only CB-accredited laboratory for photobiological safety testing.
