The EMV-Prüfzentrum (EMC Test Centre) at FH Graubünden (University of Applied Sciences Graubünden) is an applied research and pre-compliance EMC laboratory at Pulvermühlestrasse 57, 7000 Chur, affiliated with the Institut für Photonics und Robotics (IPR). The lab features an absorber room (anechoic chamber, approx. 55 m³) and has recently been expanded to cover emission measurements up to 6 GHz. Conducted EMC phenomena are measured from 9 kHz to 230 MHz. The lab is led by scientific project managers Vincenzo Di Toro (+41 81 286 24 62) and Patrik Janett (+41 81 286 37 01). The EMV-Prüfzentrum is explicitly not accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 — it operates as a development-accompanying pre-compliance and comparative measurement service. Via comparative measurements with accredited labs, the team ensures that equipment measured at FHGR will meet the requirements of a standards-compliant laboratory. Services include conducted and radiated emission and immunity from 9 kHz to 6 GHz, ESD, surge, burst, power-frequency magnetic field, mains voltage dips and interruptions, and single-phase harmonics and flicker (up to 16 A). The lab is booked by local and regional industry and is characterised by its cost-effective and flexible approach to development-stage EMC testing.
