About

GCS Test Denetim ve Belgelendirme is an automotive and railway testing, inspection and type-approval body, designated by Germany's Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) as a technical service in all categories, including whole-vehicle type approval. It operates its own laboratory in Bursa (Alaşarköy, Osmangazi) with offices in Istanbul, Ankara and Sofia, and covers EU whole-vehicle type approval for M, N, L, O and T categories plus component and system approvals to EC, ECE and EU regulations. Its EMC service tests electrical and electronic components fitted to motor vehicles (ESAs) to ECE R10, 2009/64/EC and 2015/208/EU, supporting the 'e' and 'E' type-approval marks. The wider laboratory scope covers flammability (ECE R118, FMVSS 302) for road and rail vehicles, seats, brake linings, glazing, tyres and wheels, towing devices, fuel tanks, lighting, mirrors and cameras, ROPS and cab strength, agricultural tractor tests, and virtual testing and structural analysis. Published material does not describe EMC chambers or an EMC accreditation scope.
