About
Ishikawa K.K. runs its EMC Laboratory at Namamugi in Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama, and describes itself as the first private-sector EMC test facility in the Keihin industrial belt - the Tokyo-Yokohama manufacturing corridor. It operates both a 10-metre and a 3-metre radio anechoic chamber plus a shielded room, and has extended radiated emission measurement to 40 GHz to meet the high-frequency requirements of FCC Part 15 and the millimetre-wave bands. Its accreditation set is deliberately international: VLAC accreditation number VLAC-025 to ISO/IEC 17025, VCCI and FCC registration, TUV Rheinland appointment under ID 0000007814, and Taiwanese BSMI reference numbers SL2-IN-E-6019 and SL2-A1-E-6019, having covered CNS 13438 and CNS 13783-1 since 2012 and added CNS 15936 in 2022 ahead of its becoming mandatory on 1 January 2024. The published standards list is one of the most complete in this directory and is notable for carrying the Australian and New Zealand AS/NZS variants alongside the IEC, EN, CISPR and JIS versions, and the Canadian ICES-003 and BETS-7 - so a single booking can cover Japan, Europe, North America, Australasia and Taiwan. Two recent additions stand out: near-magnetic-field immunity to IEC 61000-4-39 for IEC/EN 60601-1-2 edition 4.1 and JIS T0601-1-2:2023 medical compliance, and railway EMC to EN 50121-3-2, EN 50121-4, IEC 62236-3-2 and IEC 62236-4 for both on-board and trackside equipment. Commercially it offers remote consigned testing where the client ships the product rather than attending, free storage of test items, and a 40 per cent discount on base chamber fees for same-day or next-day bookings where capacity allows. Industries served are IT equipment, medical devices, analytical instruments, AV equipment, industrial equipment, machine tools and semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Specialisations are 40 GHz radiated emission, near-magnetic-field immunity, railway EMC and BSMI certification testing.
