About
KRIWAN Testzentrum, founded in 1997 at Forchtenberg in northern Baden-Wuerttemberg as the testing arm of the KRIWAN group, has grown into one of Germany's broader multi-sector compliance houses, combining EMC, environmental simulation, fire detection technology and construction product certification on one site. Its EMC facilities comprise a shielded cabin plus anechoic chambers configured for both the 3 metre and 10 metre measurement distances, with measurement to 6 GHz, radiated immunity fields to 400 V/m and magnetic field generation to 1000 A/m. DAkkS accreditation is held under D-PL-12091-01-00 with partial scopes -01-01 and -01-02 covering electromagnetic compatibility, environmental testing and fire detection technology, and the centre is a designated Technical Service of the German Federal Motor Transport Authority in categories A and D under KBA-P00042, which lets it issue E-mark test reports for UN-ECE R10 Rev. 6 and the agricultural and non-road directives 2009/64/EC, 2005/30/EC and 2009/19/EC. It is additionally a DAkkS-accredited certification body for construction products (D-ZE-12091-01-00) and a DIBt notified body (NB 1772), and holds permission under the German Explosives Act to handle pyrotechnic articles - the reason it can test airbag and restraint components. Accredited standards span automotive (CISPR 25, ISO 7637-2/-3, ISO 11452-2/-4/-5/-8/-9, ISO 10605, ISO 16750-2), agricultural, forestry and construction machinery (ISO 14982, ISO 15003, ISO 13766-1/-2), railway (EN 50155, EN 50121-3-2), fire and alarm systems (EN 50130-4, EN 54-25), marine and offshore (EN 60945 with ABS, BV and DNV type approval routes) and the industrial EN 61000-6 generic series. Specialisations are compressor and motor protection electronics, off-highway and agricultural machinery, fire detection systems, and marine equipment.
