About

FMEC is the service lab of the M-Group at KU Leuven Bruges Campus (Spoorwegstraat 12, 8000 Bruges), originally founded by Prof. Dr. Ir. Johan Catrysse in 1984 as an expertise centre on EMC. In 1991 it became a complete EMC laboratory providing support and test facilities to industry. FMEC focuses on pre-compliance EMC, RED, shielding effectiveness, and reliability testing of electronic products, with over 35 years of experience and is considered one of the pioneers in Flanders, especially with respect to shielding effectiveness.
