About
Taiwan Testing and Certification Center (ETC), known until 2020 as the Electronics Testing Center, is a non-profit testing, certification and calibration organisation headquartered at No. 8, Ln. 29, Wenming Rd., Guishan District, Taoyuan, with laboratories in Linkou (New Taipei), Hsinchu and Taichung. It renamed in 2020 to broaden its service scope. The EMC offering spans three open-area test sites, seven shielded/screening rooms and anechoic chambers up to 10 m, supporting MIL-STD-461 military testing, automotive component EMC (ISO 7637-1/-2/-3, ISO 11452-4/-7/-8/-10, ISO 10605), 3C commercial EMC and RF wireless testing, ITU-T K.21 lightning/overvoltage and NEBS GR-1089 for telecom equipment, and shielding-effectiveness evaluation of metal sheets, meshes, conductive films, fabrics and coatings from 80 MHz to 4.2 GHz. ETC operates FCC- and NCC-recognised labs (designations TW1060, TW2628 and TW0371), is an IECEE CB Testing Laboratory and an IECEx ExTL, and also runs a dedicated LED testing laboratory in Guishan and a structural-properties and safety laboratory in Linkou. Customers range from ICT and medical-device makers to smart-grid, EV-charging, automotive and defence suppliers.
