About

UL Solutions' Queretaro laboratory occupies units in the Parque Industrial Kaizen on Carretera Estatal 100 at Galeras, in the Colon municipality east of Santiago de Queretaro, and it is a comparatively new and purpose-built wireless and EMC facility serving the Mexican market from inside the country. That location matters more than it might appear: Mexican market entry runs through two separate domestic regimes, and this site holds both of the relevant credentials - accreditation from the Entidad Mexicana de Acreditacion, the national accreditation body, and authorisation from the Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones, the federal telecommunications regulator that governs radio equipment homologation. It is accredited for NOM certification testing under the Normas Oficiales Mexicanas, and provides the documentation support that NOM certification requires, so a manufacturer can complete Mexican approval locally instead of shipping samples abroad and waiting on cross-border recognition. Testing covers wireless electromagnetic compatibility, specific absorption rate measurement, and radiofrequency testing across Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular technologies, carried out in shielded chambers with professional-grade instrumentation; chamber dimensions, counts and frequency ranges are not published. The wider UL de Mexico site at the same industrial park also offers environmental, mechanical and destructive testing, so EMC work can sit alongside physical qualification. Named product categories are consumer electronics including smartphones, sensors, smart appliances and connected products generally. Two practical notes: UL publishes the municipality as Colon while public listings place the park under Santiago de Queretaro, and two different contact numbers circulate for the site, so confirm before shipping samples. Specialisations are NOM certification testing, IFT radio homologation, SAR, and in-country Mexican market access.
