Bharat Test House runs its principal laboratory in the HSIIDC industrial estate at Rai in Sonipat, Haryana, with a Delhi office at Azadpur, and describes itself as the only privately owned independent testing laboratory in Delhi NCR and Haryana holding EMI/EMC accreditation. Its credentials are unusually layered for an Indian private laboratory: NABL accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025, FCC and Industry Canada recognition for North American market access, Bureau of Indian Standards recognition across several product categories including electric hair dryers, massagers, soldering irons and electronic switches and dimmers, CDSCO approval for medical device testing, and IECEE CB Testing Laboratory designation for solar photovoltaic modules under IEC 61215-2 and IEC 61730-2. EMC facilities comprise a 3 metre semi-anechoic chamber, a 10 metre open area test site and a shielded room for CE marking work, covering radiated and conducted emissions and susceptibility, immunity, electromagnetic shielding performance, electrostatic discharge, voltage dips and interruptions, adjacent signal selectivity, spurious emissions and power frequency magnetic field immunity against the CISPR 11 to 24 families, the IEC 61000-4 series and the EN 55011, 55014 and 55015 standards. The surrounding capability is what makes the site unusual: two C-type goniophotometers for LED and luminaire photometry, a 500 kW facility for testing UPS systems and solar inverters, India's first NABL-accredited solar simulator calibration laboratory, what the company claims is the country's largest domestic refrigerator testing capacity, Indian-language mobile handset testing, and AGMARK recognition for agricultural produce. Specialisations are solar photovoltaic and inverter testing, LED and luminaire photometry, white goods and appliances, EV batteries, and Indian regulatory certification across BIS, FCC and IC.
