About
Black Forest Testlab OHG is an independent EMC test laboratory at Schachenweg 7 in Loeffingen-Unadingen in Baden-Wuerttemberg, accredited to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 by DAkkS under D-PL-22936-01-00 and recognised as a Konformitaetsbewertungsstelle (conformity assessment body). It positions itself around scheduling speed and process efficiency - 'EMV-Pruefung nach Ihrem Zeitplan' - running both accredited testing and development-accompanying tests on prototypes, small series and full production, with interference-suppression measures implemented outside the accreditation scope. The team works in standardisation committees and has delivered projects for the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt as well as in medical technology, aviation, marine and multimedia. The RF system is a semi-anechoic chamber (SAC) supporting both 1 m and 3 m measurement distances, with biconical and STLP tunable log-periodic antennas. The equipment list reads as a modern automotive and avionics bench: a NetWave 67.5-400 three-phase AC/DC source covering IEC/EN 61000-4-13, -4-14, -4-27 and -4-28 plus -4-17 and -4-29 as a DC source, used for inverters, electric vehicles and avionics systems to DO-160, Airbus ABD0100 and Boeing specifications; a DPA 503N with AIF 503N75.4 for three-phase and single-phase harmonics and flicker; AutoWave four-channel transient waveform generation with the AutoWave-WR two-channel recorder; a VDS 200Q100.2-400 battery simulator covering 48 V, 24 V and 12 V at 100 A or more; a UCS 200N100.2 combining EFT/burst, micropulse and an integrated coupling network to 200 A with a FreeStyle mode for non-standard waveforms; an LD 200N high-energy load-dump generator for ISO 7637 and ISO 16750-2 including clipped pulses; and an ISO 7637-2 transient emissions setup with electronic and mechanical switches and an artificial network meeting ISO 7637-2, CISPR 25 / ISO 11452-4 and CISPR 16-1-2. Magnetic field work uses an AMP 200N2 low-frequency source for ripple and ground-shift noise to LV 123 and ISO 7637-4 pulse C plus MFG 40-100 and MFC 30 loops to 130 A/m per IEC 61000-4-8. Burst and surge use a Compact NX5 extendable to 200 A per phase with NX-series CDNs rated to 1,000 VDC / 3 x 690 VAC, and a PFS 503N63.2 three-phase power-fail simulator with six individually controlled semiconductor switches to 100 A. Conducted immunity spans an NSG 4060 (15 Hz - 150 kHz) for IEC/EN 61000-4-16 and -4-19, an NSG 4070C-LFCP for IEC/EN 61000-4-39 and EN 60601-1-2 magnetic field work plus 61000-4-3, -4-6 and -4-20, an NSG 4070 for BCI, and a CBA4K400M-100E-001 Class A amplifier for automotive and aviation BCI. Partner labs cover FCC radio approval (Ingenieurbuero Lenhardt), environmental testing (Labus) and KBA certification (ALEE).
